I don't think there is a single business executive who does not want to invest in an Enterprise Architecture because they think it is unnecessary and/or useless. Most do not want it because they do not know and/or have not been shown how to extract value from it.
This paper provides guidance on this tricky topic - how to extract value from Enterprise Architecture. The paper is academic and yes a few years old but it is a must read for anyone who practices Enterprise Architecture in the real world.
