Proving IT's Value is the Achilles heel of CIOs. There are many views and more tools but the issue persists. What now?
Boxed into a corner, CIOs have done what they must - proved their value by doing the "same for less" i.e. focused on cost cutting. Then we got smart and started using cost "avoidance" as a measure of IT value. This slippery slope has no end in sight. The whitepaper provides a bird's eye view of the issue and the quackery that is addressing it but little insight into how to actually solve this problem. But it makes for a good read.
