Membership Categories and Privileges
At CIO Index, we cater to a diverse range of professionals within the IT ecosystem, recognizing different roles and their unique needs. Here’s a breakdown of our membership categories based on professional roles, payment types, and the associated privileges.
Membership Types (by role)
End Users of Technology | Solution Providers to IT Organization | Academic and Research |
CIO The head of the technology organization |
Partners Independent providers of technology products and services to the IT Organization |
Academic Partners Professors, researchers, and others who teach and explore in an academic, not-for-profit setting. |
Aspiring CIO Members of the CIO’s cabinet aka direct reports |
||
IT Members others in the IT Organization not directly reporting to the CIO |
Membership Types (by payment)
We recognize that not all our members are ready to make a monetary commitment, so we have two membership categories based on payment:
Non-paying | Paying |
Explorers Non paying members who want to dip their toe but are not ready to take the plunge |
Subscribers Paying members who are full on ready to get the max out of their dues |
Our membership is designed to maximize value to each of these categories. However, access, privileges, and dues are different for each.
Social Objects
CIO Index recognizes that our members interact with each other for a reason. We refer to these as social objects. Currently, we offer the following social objects in the CIO Community:
Membership Privileges
Members can have two different types of privileges on the CIO Portal:
- Read: Read privileges allow a member to view a social object.
- Edit: Add/Update/Delete/List/Send privileges on social objects. (Edit privileges on a directory entitle the holder to be listed. And on messages sent.)
