Why do some companies produce unparalleled results while others bribe politicians for bailouts? The difference, the authors argue, is in the enterprise business architecture. They reason that enterprise business results are "about connectivity, and causality, and understanding those relationships to both internal and external factors," which is encapsulated in the enterprise business architecture. Therefore business results cannot be achieved without understanding the enterprise business architecture.
