It never ceases to amaze me that we consider the expectation of CIOs as business leaders to be "new". There is nothing emerging, changing, or evolving about this expectation of this role.   • Whose responsibility did we think it was to find out exactly which systems and networks to build?
  • Why would that person decide to spend a single cent on building a system or network that did not support business objectives?
