Harvey Nash CIO survey 2010 finds that communication and influence are now regarded as the most important skills for IT leaders in 2010.
The Harvey Nash CIO survey 2010 also found that:
- Recession is still driving the IT agenda with 74% of the respondents being asked to cut costs and 75% to increase operational efficiency
- CIOs are being treated as business leaders: 44% percent of respondents report directly into the CEO or CFO. 71% of respondents foresee a greater participation in strategic decisions
- IT Outsourcing is increasing with 87% of respondents maintaining or increasing outsourcing projects - an 11% increase from last year
- Job satisfaction is down 4% from last year. 43% of CIOs expect to be in a new job within 24 months!
