Ford Motor Company has been in decline for some time. We can blame their sequential problem solving for that predicament. First, they worked on fixing the quality issues. Well, almost. Then they turned their attention to manufacturing cars that inspired people to open up their check books. The latter is still a work in progress! But please do not let this less than inspiring performance of the company take away from this article. The lessons are good and universally applicable.
