 “The university’s history is that it’s an amalgam of many colleges that have come together to form the university, yet maintain their own identity outside the University of Cincinnati. This governance process breaks down the silos and reinforces the importance of general communications in regards to IT. Everyone becomes more knowledgeable about what is available from an IT perspective and how pervasive IT is in everything that we do. It is a real challenge here to try to create a system that works as well as it does. We could probably use the IT governance structure as a model for how we should operate in general.”
