How does the quality of information affect stage gate results?

State gate is a valuable tool in managerial decision making. Theoretically, it can help improve efficiency and effectiveness of innovation. However, the quality of information at each stage is critical to the outcomes achieved by decisions made on that information. Often, there is an assumption that this information is of the desired quality.
